Pancakes

Every Saturday and Sunday the kiddos wake Danny up to make pancakes…They are actually convinced that Mommy doesn’t know how to make them…This is something special they have with Daddy, I couldn’t ruin it by making pancakes on any old day of the week!

Grace has recently been reading Shel Silverstein’s “Where the Sidewalk Ends” and read me this poem…(love Shel Silverstein!). She loved that it had her name in it…

My kids didn’t think that I could fry eggs for years because they had a similar tradition. I didn’t mind though because it meant I got to relax any time they wanted eggs. šŸ™‚

Have you seen that there’s a new Shel Silverstein poetry collection out called “Everything on It?”
