Happy Easter

Easter isn’t really a holiday Owen understands…But he loves the plastic eggs. We filled his with goldfish crackers and teddy grahams. He was happy just shaking the eggs.

Grace understands the important traditions a little bit better, like dying eggs and eating chocolate bunnies…

We had a nice family day with the four of us and grandmas and grandpas. It was nice and relaxing.

Probably the first and last year of my life where in one week we have St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, my birthday and see snow (even if it didn’t stick)!

Darcy, I’m glad you had such a wonderful eater. You are blessed with 2 angels 🙂 Loved the photos BTW.

I found your blog as I was looking up info about CDH Awareness. I too have a little boy who was born with a diaphragmatic hernia (on his left side). He is now 3 1/2 years old. He has a trach and is on a vent. He spent 11 months in the NICU before we were able to go home. He is doing much better than expected and the love of our lives.

We are currently in the hospital, again. This time with a little girl. She has a congential heart defect. We have been here for about 8 weeks now, but she seems to be doing well. I plan to read more of your blog at a later time. Your children are so sweet.

If you would like to learn more about our little guy, feel free to visit our blog at

    Thank you,

I am so happy you all had a wonderful Easter. We filled the boys eggs with the exact same items. (great minds think alike, right??)
