The Vug Under the Rug
Grace read Dr. Seuss’ “There’s a Wocket in my Pocket!” at school. Then she came home and pulled it off of our shelf.

For days now they have been preoccupied with “the VUG under the RUG”.

They were goofing around and made their own “VUG”.

And then screamed and ran from it…(which is actually an integral part of most games that these two play).

Owen doesn’t really understand that “VUG” is a nonsense word and thinks Grace is talking about a bug. Later he was putting the ladybug doorstop under the rug…a bug under the rug…it just made more sense to him.

THAT IS HOOORRIBLE!
So glad mine aren’t the only children obsessed with the vug under the rug! They haven’t gone so far as creating their own vug, but they chase each other (and mommy and daddy) around pretending the vug is going to get them and then giggling.
Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for leaving a comment! That is too funny! I think that the vug really captures kiddos imaginations and a bit of their fear curiosity too. Yours sound fun!
